SARGODHA – Commissioner Dr Farah Masood said the Sargodha division had set a target of 270,000 metric tonnes of wheat procurement this year.
She expressed these views while chairing a review meeting of the wheat pro-curement drive in the division here on Thursday. She said that 36 wheat pro-curement centers would be set up in four districts, adding that Sargodha district had set a target of 80,000 metric tonnes, Khushab 20,000 metric tonnes, Mi-anwali 60,000 metric tonnes and Bhakkar district set 110,000 metric tonnes of wheat purchase target.
The meeting was informed that 13 procurement centers had been set up in Sar-godha, three in Khushab, six in Mianwali and 14 in Bhakkar district.
UoS, signs MoU with Mianwali University
The University of Sargodha (UoS) on Thursday resolved the matter of issuance of degrees to students of the University of Mianwali (UMW) by signing a Memoran-dum of Understanding (MoU) with it.
The agreement was inked by UoS Vice Chancellor Dr Ishtiaq Ahmad and UMW Vice Chancellor Dr Islam-Ullah Khan at a ceremony. The MoU was signed in the light of a decision, taken by the UoS syndicate in its meeting, held on February 16, 2021.
According to the MoU, the Sargodha University, on the part of the UMW, would issue transcripts and degrees on receipt of result data of the prescribed applicable fees and dues including registration fee, examination fee 60%, transcript and de-gree fee etc.
The UoS would also provide funds to the UMW to clear its already claimed pending liabilities from the additional amount of Rs 25 million by the UoS’s syndicate under subsection 21(2) of the Sargodha University Ordinance, 2002.
