Rawalpindi/ islamabad-Two men were killed and a child lost life after being hit with train while two other people injured in three separate incidents in twin cities, informed sources on Saturday.
Another man committed suicide in Gujar Khan and a four-year-old baby was abducted from federal capital, they said. Armed robbers, dacoits and car-lifters also deprived citizens of cash, gold, mobile phones, laptops, and four motorcycles in various areas of Islamabad, sources added.
Two members of drug mafia slit the throat of a young man on stopping them from selling drugs among public in capital.
According to sources, Khaliq Dad lodged complaint with Police Station (PS) Golra stating that Zulfiqar along with five armed men murdered his brother Abrar and injured son Allah Dad and wife Imtiaz Begum over a land dispute at Quarter Stop. He alleged the crime was committed by the accused on behest of Ghulam Rabbani. Police booked six accused and started investigation with no arrest so far, they said.
Another young man namely Mohsin alias Kaliya was stabbed to death in Mator Village of Kahuta. The body of the deceased was moved to THQ Kahuta for post-mortem. A heavy contingent of police along with investigators of Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU) visited crime scene and collected evidences besides recording statements of eyewitnesses, sources said. A murder case was registered with PS Kahuta while further investigation was on, sources said.
In Gujar Khan, a 22-year-old man committed suicide after a brawl with his mother. The incident took place in Mohra Bhattian, the limits of PS Gujar Khan, they said adding that body was taken to THQ Hospital for burial.
A little child was crossing the railway crossing at Tarnol when a train hit him. Resultantly, he died on the spot, sources said adding that the body was moved to PIMS for autopsy.
In yet another incident, two alleged members of drug mafia namely Jabir Abbas and Ghulam Abbas stabbed and injured a local resident Muhammad Nasir at Bheka Syedan in F-11, informed sources. They said the duo slit throat of Nasir because he tried to stop them from selling drugs in the area.
SSP Operations Islamabad Dr Syed Mustafa Tanweer told media that Shalimar police held the accused and recovered the dagger from their possession. An attempted murder case was also lodged against the accused, he said.
Another citizen namely Yasir Hussain, a resident of Dhoke Jillani, accused Mazhar Hussain of kidnapping his four-year-old son. Officials of PS Bharakahu lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against accused and started making efforts to recover the kid.
On the other hand, unknown robbers burgled cash, gold, laptops and other valuables from six houses and flats in limits of police stations Ramna, Aabpara, Khana, Bharakahu and Sihala.
Similarly, auto theft gangs pilfered four motorcycles from different areas of federal capital. Police registered case on complaints of crime victims and started investigation, sources said.
Meanwhile, officials of PS Golra have arrested a man and woman for their alleged involvement in robbing houses in disguise of servants. The accused have been identified as Mubashir and Sadaf, from whom police also seized cash. According to a police investigator, Mubasher used to get a job of servant in houses in Islamabad and later on burgled the houses with help of his cousin Sadaf. A case has been registered against the accused by police while further investigation was on, he said.
