RAWALPINDI -At least four people were killed and six others sustained critical injuries in a road traffic accident on Tuesday. The accident happened near Giga Mall, the limits of Police Station Sihala. Rescue sources said a family was travelling in a car when one of its tyres got burst. The driver lost his control over steering of car that collided with another car moving ahead, they said. In result, four persons including two minor girls lost their lives while six others sustained critical injuries. All the dead bodies and victims were moved to hospitals for medical treatment at Pakistan International Hospital, Fauji Foundation Hospital, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences and Bahria International Hospital. Those who died in the accident have been identified as Jawad Ali, his two daughters Anabia and Aleeza and his nephew Yousaf. While injured were identified as Aizaz Masroor, Raza Ali, Saima, Nadia Khan, Rimsha (wife of deceased Jawad) and an unknown woman, who is said to be mother-in-law of Jawad, said spokesman of Rescue 1122. A family member told The Nation that Jawad was resident of Misrial Road and travelling to Sahang Village, Chakwal when he met a tragic road traffic accident. He said condition of Ramsha is critical. A traffic rush occurred on the GT Road due to traffic accident.
