7 senior officers of capital police transferred

ISLAMABAD – As many as seven senior police officers of capital police have been transferred and posted by Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) here on Friday, informed a police spokesman. A notification in this regard has also been issued, he said. According to him, SSP Khalid Rashid was posted as SSP Law and Orders while Muhammad Usman Tipu PSP/SP, who was serving as SP/SSG, was transferred and posted as AIG Operations and Malik Naheem Iqbal, who was serving as SP/CID (CTD), was also changed and posted as SP/DPD. Similarly, Capt (R) Hamzah Humayun PSP/SP was appointed as SP/Traffic by the Chief Commissioner, ICT, he said adding that SP/ATS Abdul Razzaq was transferred and posted as SP/SSG. SP/SSG Arshad Mehmood was transferred and appointed as SP Investigation. Chief Commissioner, ICT has transferred SP Industrial Area Zone Zubair Ahmed Sheikh and appointed him as SP/ARU. All the newly appointed officers have assumed their charges following of orders of Chief Commissioner, the spokesman said. On the other hand, 35 sub inspectors and 94 constables (including three lady cops) of Rawalpindi police have been promoted to the ranks of inspectors and head constables respectively, according to a police spokesman.
