AGP, Zameen.com victorious in Memorial Cricket

LAHORE   –   Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) and Zameen.com won the opening matches of the Professor Mukhtar Ahmed Butt Memorial Corporate League, which commenced here the other day. At Ittefaq Cricket Ground, AGP routed Jaffer Brothers by 5 wickets. Batting first, Jaffer Brothers scored 125 runs with Noman Ali hitting 21 while Imran Virk took two wickets. AGP chased the target losing 5 wickets with Mohsin Qureshi making 25. M Umar was named man of the match. Zameen.com played two matches at the Race Course Cricket Ground. In the first match, Zameen.com defeated Netsol by 21 runs. Zameen.com, batting first, scored 162-9 in 20 overs. Zohaib Nabi scored 38 while M Faisal bagged 3 wickets. In reply, Netsol could score 141 with Mubashir Iqbal scoring 32. M Faisal grabbed 3 wickets and emerged as player of the match. In the second match, Zameen.com outsmarted AMT by 77 runs. This time, Zameen.com posted 192-9 with captain Zohaib Nabi hammering 56 while Qaiser Nawaz, Waqar Bukhari and Arsalan Pervez took 2 wickets each. In reply, AMT were bundled out for 115 with Saad Najam hitting unbeaten 45. Abdul Majid claimed 3 wickets to earn the best bowler award.
