ISLAMABAD/rawalpindi – Armed dacoits shot dead a man and injured two others in three separate incidents of dacoities, informed sources on Thursday. Similarly, two persons including a four-year-old boy were gunned down and 10 persons including kids were abducted from different areas of Islamabad, they said. A man committed suicide after killing his wife over domestic issue at Tumair Village, the limits of PS Nelore, sources said.
According to sources, a female citizen Maryam lodged complaint with Police Station (PS) Khanna stating she along with her husband Muhammad Mansha was going on road when two armed dacoits attempted to snatch cash and mobile phone from them. She added the dacoits shot dead her husband over showing resistance and fled from the scene. Likewise, Habib Ur Rehman reported to PS Tarnol that two armed dacoits shot and injured his father Abdul Rehman in an dacoity attempt at Sirae Kharboza and managed to escape from the scene.
Qasim Ali appeared before PS Sihala and told investigators that a gang of three armed dacoits intercepted him on gunpoint in Rawat area and snatched his motorcycle and mobile phone and opened firing when he tried to show resistance. He added a passerby Zeeshan sustained bullet injuries by the firing of the dacoits.
Two more citizens namely Adnan Suhail and Faizan were mugged by gangs of armed dacoits in limits of police stations Noon and Golra, sources said. On the other hand, some 10 persons were also abducted from Islamabad. Muhammad Iqbal lodged complaint with PS Golra that Tehmina kidnapped his daughters Sehar Iqbal (20), Hudabia (18) and Madiha (16) and sons Ayan (14) and Ikram (10).
Sumaira Gillani told PS Khanna that a man namely Yousaf kidnapped her sister from Bilal Town. In Tarnol, Najma reported to police that two men namely Ishtiaq and Shezad abducted her son Sajjad Ali (7) from Sirae Kharboza. Similarly, Yasir Mehmood tabled application before PS Secretariat that unknown men had kidnapped his wife Kiran Shehzad, son Usman (3) and niece Danish Bibi (18) from Mohala Noori Bagh. Another citizen Shazia told PS Margalla that Mehmood Ul Hassan had harassed her eight-year-old daughter. Gang of unknown robbers burgled cash, gold, mobile phones, laptops and electric motors from two houses in limits of police stations Aabpara and Bharakahu and fled, they said.
Auto theft gangs pilfered two cars and five motorcycles from precincts of police stations Aabpara, Karachi Company, Bharakahu, Koral and Ramna.
In Rawalpindi, two dacoits allegedly deprived three passengers of cash Rs 610,000 while impersonating policemen.
The incident took place within limits of PS Saddar Bairooni, according to sources. They said a citizen called on Rescue 15 that he along with two other friends was travelling on Peshawar Road when two cops stopped them for checking. He added the cops took them to Quaid e Azam Colony on Dhamial Road where they snatched cash Rs 610,000 from them and fled. CPO took action on the call and sent ASP Saddar Circle Saud Khan and SHO PS Saddar Bairooni for probing the crime.
Another incident of house robbery, six armed robbers stormed into house of a citizen namely Ali at Najam Shaheed Road and made the family members hostage on gunpoint. The robbers looted 9000 British Pounds, Rs400,000 cash, gold and a car and managed to flee from the scene. They said the incident took place in area of PS Westridge.
