CPO dismisses cops for fracturing citizen’s leg 

RAWALPINDI – City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Ahsan Younas on Saturday dismissed a sub-inspector and two cops while forcefully retired four others from department on charges of fracturing leg of a citizen in Chokwy Qazian, informed a police spokesman. He added the city police chief also served show-cause notice to Station House Officer (SHO) Police Station (PS) Kahuta for showing negligence during duty hours. According to him, CPO Muhammad Ahsan Younas had ordered an inquiry against the whole staff of Chowky Qazian (controlled by PS Gujar Khan) on a complaint of citizen who stated he was caught by police in case of possessing weapon who fractured his leg during torture. SDPO Gujar Khan initiated inquiry and found the staff of Chokwy Qazian guilty on which CPO dismissed SI Aqeel Rathore (Incharge), constables Abdul Wajid and Amir Hussain from service and retired Moharar Muhammad Nasim, constables Abrar, Zia Talat and Muhammad Ashfaq forcefully from police department. CPO said all are equal before law and torture on citizens would not be tolerated at any cost.  He said the cops should behave politely with citizens. He also issued show-cause notice to SHO PS Kahuta for showing negligence.  Meanwhile, Ganjmandi police arrested two active members of an auto-theft gang namely Abdul Jabbar and Rashid and seized three vehicles from their possession, he said. He said police also recovered spare parts of stolen vehicles from them during investigation. CPO Muhammad Ahsan Younas appreciated efforts of SP Rawal Division Zia Uddin Ahmed and other team members for netting car-lifters.
