ISLAMABAD – The Director General Federal Government Employees Housing Authority Waseem Hayat Bajwa directed Deputy Commissioner land to finalise compensation award against the built up properties (BUPs) of G-14 till 31st January.
The Director General visited G-14 on Monday along with Deputy Commissioner Land, Director Security, Director Planning, Director Finance, Director Staff and other relevant officers of the FGEHA.
A meeting with the residents committee regarding current status of development in the sector was held on site. The representatives of the residents were briefed about recent developments regarding clearance of BUPs through compensation and end of encroachment. Project Director Ihsan Elahi briefed the participants regarding overall progress over BUPs issue, a mechanism to vacate the land and about the present infrastructure development status of the sub sector 2 and 3 of sector G-14.
He briefed that in last few months, significant progress has been made and considerable area has been cleared from the encroachments. The Project Director informed that the negotiations regarding taking over the possession of land is in progress and he hoped that the land up to G-14 Markaz would be cleared within next 15 days.
The Director General directed DC land to finalise the award of BUPs till 31st January, 2021, while DC Land informed that the award for 80 BUPs is remaining and assured that it would be finalised within the timeline given by the DG housing authority.
He further instructed that all liabilities on part of the FGEHA regarding award of BUPs must be cleared on priority basis before launching of a grand operation in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior. He also directed the Project Director to ensure progress on contractor’s part as well.
Replying to a question, the Director Planning informed the residents that the layout plan of G-14/1 has been finalised in addition to the aerial and land survey while its PC-I would be approved by Departmental Working Party in next 10 days.
The residents raised question regarding problems being faced by the shifted families pertaining to Sui Gas, Water Supply, Security and sewerage/drainage. In response, the Deputy Director (E/M) informed that the tender for street lights will be advertised by mid of February while demand notice for Sui gas would be issued in the first week of February and work on both amenities would be started in the mid of March.
Apprising the residents committee regarding security, Director Security responded that a security supervisor would carry out patrolling of Sub-Sector G-14/2 and G-14/3 on regular basis.
The Director General directed to depute a patrolling team on priority basis and that the contact number of security supervisor must be shared with the community members. Director General instructed that water must be provided to the shifted families through water supply contractor of G-14/4. All the committee members lauded the tireless efforts rendered by team FGEHA.
