Display of weapons, toy guns banned in Bannu

lakki marwat   –  The district administration on Monday banned the display of weapons and sale of firecrackers and toy guns in Bannu for a period of one month. 

According to an official, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Zubair Niazi had imposed ban using powers conferred on him under section 144 of Cr.PC 1898. He said the government servants possessing licenses would be exempted from the ban on carrying arms during duty hours. He said that people were also barred from sitting outside their buildings and houses or shops and their movements in streets and bazaars in groups had also been banned. He said the businesses exempted from lockdown would maintain social distancing at their outlets. 

“There will be a complete ban on pillion riding, one wheeling, over speeding and dangerous stunts on motorcycles and cars,” he said and added that the administration had also banned use of tinted glasses in vehicles and the sale and purchase of material used in tints. He said that there would also be a complete ban on aerial firing and plying of unregistered vehicles and bikes on roads.
