KARACHI – Four shops of Resham Gali shopkeepers were sealed on the orders of the Assistant Commissioner (AC), Larkana, Ahmed Ali Soomro, on Monday for violating lockdown orders of the Sindh government to prevent spread of deadly Delta variant. AC Soomro visited various markets, including Resham Gali, Shahi Bazaar, Bunder Road, Pakistani Chowk, Royal Road, Station Road, Fish Market and others, and found four shops opened in Resham Gali. He immediately ordered sealing all of them for 15 days and also issued warning to others to implement lockdown orders strictly or they will face the music. Meanwhile, two accused shopkeepers Bilawal Shaikh and Ghulam Mustafa Shaikh arrested on Sunday were released on bail from police lock up which was granted by IIIrd Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate court on Monday against Rs25,000 each and the bail of third accused Ghulam Murtaza Shaikh was approved by IIIrd Additional and Sessions Judge in the sum of Rs25,000. He too was released by the police. An FIR was registered against them on the application of AC at the Market police station after having a dispute with him over the lockdown issue. Despite strict instructions and vigilance, shops remained open in streets and almost all localities where residents came to procure items of daily use without observing SOPs.
