Mardan – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) central leader and former federal minister Khwaja Muhammad Khan Hoti on Saturday accused Prime Minister Imran Khan of handing over State Bank of Pakistan and other institutions of the country to the World Bank through an ordinance.
Addressing a press conference at Mardan Press Club, Khwaja Hoti claimed that through an ordinance government had finished the autonomy of the economy of the country. Through the ordinance, he added, the government extended the period of governor state bank from 3 to 5 years. “In future the governor state bank will be appointed with the principles of World Bank,” he added.
He alleged that through the Ordinance the government had compromised the autonomy of Pakistan. “The Prime Minister has handed over his power to the World Bank. Imran Khan has also finished the autonomy of NEPRA and SNGPL.” Khwaja Muhammad Khan Hoti claimed that now NPRA and SNGPL would fix rate on the directives of the World Bank.
He said that opposition parties were wasting time in non issues. “It is conspiracy against Pakistan and it is need of time that all political forces should unite for the autonomy and survival of the country,” he added.
