Rawalpindi-Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Inam Ghani visited Police Line on Friday and inaugurated Constable Shahid Rehman Shaheed School of Tactics and Fire Arms Training. The top cop also inaguarated the Khidmat Counters.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Imran Ahmer, City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Ahsan Younas, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rai Mazhar, SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, divisional SPs and other senior and junior officers received the provincial police chief upon his arrival.
The police established state of the art, first of its kind firing range in Punjab, four indoor firing ranges with automated targets, CQB Area, control room with monitoring and recording shooters skills have been made in Rawalpindi police, according a police spokesman. He said IG Inam Ghani checked digital monitored in-door firing range and also saw the firing practice demonstrated by the cops.
He added IG also interacted with the cops attending classes.
Earlier, Elite Force commandos and Punjab police demonstrated Close Quarter Battle. CPO Muhammad Ahsan Younas also briefed the IG Punjab Inam Ghani about the Firing Training School. IG also paid a visit to monument of martyrs and laid floral wreaths besides offering Fateh for departed souls of martyrs.
