Karachi to receive 450 MW of electricity soon: Omar Ayub

Federal Minister For Power, Petroleum and Natural Resources Omar Ayub has said on Saturday that 450 MW of the power will soon be added to Karachi grid-stations with installation of 220 kV double circuit transmission line measuring 130 km from Jamshoro to KDA-33.

In a statement on twitter the minister said that a maximum of 1100 MW power supply shall be available from 500 kV & 220 kV network in addition to 150 MW from wind generation during summer months from national grid for KE which shall significantly improve power supply position for the city of Karachi.

He also appreciated the untiring efforts of  NTDC and KE teams for meeting the set records in time. In addition to this, he ascertained providing special relief to load shedding in the upcoming month of Ramazan.
