Peshawar – Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan visited Zamong Kor, a model institute for destitute children, on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
He spent quite some time with the children in the institute and distributed Eid gifts among them. Provincial Cabinet members Hisham Inamullah and Kamran Bangash and members provincial assembly (MPA) Arbab Wasim and Rabia Basri were also present on the occasion.
Talking to media on the occasion Mahmood Khan said that children living in the institute were not street children and rather they were state children. He said the government would take utmost care of them as they deserved special attention of the government.
While greeting the entire nation on Eid-ul-Fitr, the Chief Minister said that it was a matter of immense pleasure for the whole nation that Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated the same day across the country.
The Chief Minister strongly condemned the Israeli atrocities on the innocent Palestinians and said that Pakistan would continue its political, moral and diplomatic support to Palestinians for their just cause.
Mahmood Khan made an appeal to the citizens to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr in a simple manner, spend Eid holidays at their homes and strictly adhere to corona SOPs to avoid possible outbreak of corona pandemic.
He urged the well-off people of the society to take special care of the vulnerable and poor segments of the society on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
