Law, order maintained during AJK polls: CCPO

Lahore    –   As a result of foolproof security arrangements ensured by police, the situation of law and order remained peaceful and no untoward incident occurred in the provincial capital on Sunday during polling for AJK elections. Lahore CCPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar visited Ichhra and Gulberg polling stations and reviewed security arrangements for the AJK Legislative Assembly general elections.

Lahore DIG Operations Sajid Kiani and Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz Malik were also present on the occasion.

AJK people supported PTI with vote: Firdous

Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) had rejected the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in elections.

In her tweet, she said that throngs of people could be witnessed at the camps of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on the day of polling. She added that people were supporting the PTI with their votes.
