Man dies after falling from window of flat

ISLAMABAD – A man was killed after falling fom window of a flat in a private housing society while a motorcyclist was crushed to death by a speeding tractor trolley in Islamabad, informed sources on Saturday.

A 17-year-old girl went missing from Ghauri Town Phase III. Four houses were robbed by gang of robbers while dacoits snatched cash and mobile from a citizen, they said. Carjackers also pilfered three cars.

According to sources, Nusrat Bibi lodged a complaint with Police Station (PS) Lohibher and accused Adnan and four others of killing her brother Junaid by throwing him out a window of flat located at Bahria Town Phase 4. Police registered a murder case and held one suspect, they said. 

Tariq Masih reported to PS Golra that his brother-in-law Samual Masih was travelling on a motorcycle when a speeding tractor trolley hit and killed him. A case has been registered against the unknown driver by the police and further investigation was on, they said.

Sources said gang of robbers stole cash, gold, mobile phones and other valuables from four houses in limits of police stations Koral, Sabzi Mandi, Ramna and Karachi Company. A man was robbed of cash and mobile by unknown dacoits on gunpoint in area of PS Khanna, according to sources. Reportedly, a gang of dacoits stormed into a Utility Store at Mohala Usmania of Dhoke Paracha in Tarnol and looted cash on gunpoint. 

Auto-theft gangs also pilfered three cars from jurisdictions of police stations Kohsar, Sihala and Noon, they said. Sources said a 17-year-old girl went missing mysteriously from Ghauri Town Phase III. 

Aabpara police have registered a case against an official of Capital Development Authority (CDA) under sections 342/506 of Pakistani Penal Code and started investigation. Majid Ali told police he went CDA for a file of his plot when Tauqeer detained him in a room and hurled threats of dire consequences.

Meanwhile, police arrested 12 outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered hashish and weapons, according to a police spokesman. 

Under directions of SSP (Operations) Dr Syed Mustafa Tanweer, the police launched a crackdown against criminals at different localities of the district.

Following these directions, Khanna police arrested accused Sardar Wali and recovered one 30 bore pistol while Shahzad Town police arrested accused Tufail and recovered 115 gram hashish. Ramna police arrested accused Sher Ali and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. 

 Sihala police arrested two accused Touqeer Ahmed and Shahbaz Haider involved in illegally oil selling.

 Margalla police arrested three accused namely Anwar-ul-Haq, Aamir Khan, and Baber involved in theft case. Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.

 During a special crackdown against professional beggars and their handlers, police teams arrested seven professional alm-seekers including four handlers from various areas of the city.

DIG Operations Afzaal Ahmad Kausar and SSP (Operations) Dr Syed Mustafa Tanweer appreciated Police performance. They also sought cooperation of citizens for effective policing measures in the city. 

The SSP also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens. He said that performance in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis.
