ISLAMABAD – The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) on Monday distributed free first aid kits among motorway users, informed a spokesman here.
The first aid kits were given to commuters during a ceremony held at Motorway Toll Plaza M-1. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) NHMP Ashfaq Ahmed was the chief guest on the occasion. Sector Commander SP Shah Asad and other senior and junior police officers were also present. DIG Motorway Ashfaq Ahmed said that this campaign is being carried out on the special instructions of Inspector General of Motorway Police Dr Syed Kaleem Imam.
The purpose is to create awareness among the people, he said. He said that people should keep first aid kits in their vehicles so that immediate help can be obtained in case of emergency. The medicines in the first aid kit have been provided keeping in view the problems encountered during the journey.
