Notorious bandit killed in alleged police encounter

LARKANA   –  Police in the wee hours of Tuesday killed a notorious bandit in an alleged encounter in the limits of Veehar police station. 

SSP Masood Bangash told media that a police party was on regular patrolling when they spotted a few criminals at Pir Muso area standing with the intention to commit the crime. 

He said when the criminals saw a police party coming towards them, they started firing which was retaliated in which one criminal Nadir, son of Abdul Rahman Lashari, was killed.

He said the criminal was wanted by Larkana police in over 20 criminal cases registered against him at various police stations of the district and was resident of Garhi Khero, but his five accomplices fled, he added. Police were searching for them as well, he said and added one KK rifle and bullets had been recovered from the possession of the bandit. He said his further criminal record from Jacobabad and others districts was being sought.
