Ogra increases RLNG price by $0.49/MMBTU

ISLAMABAD – Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday announced $0.49 per million British Thermal Unit (MMBTU) increase in the prices of re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) for the consumers of Sui Southern Gas Company and Sui Northern Gas Pipeline. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a revision in the imported LNG prices and hiked the price of RLNG for the consumers of the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited and Sui Southern Gas Pipeline Limited by $ 0.49 per MMBTU. After the increase, the RLNG price for the consumers of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) increased from $9.763 per unit to $ 10.253 per unit. While for the consumers of Sui Southern Gas Company, the per unit rates will go up from $9.477 per MMBTU to $9.967 per MMBTU. It is worth to mentioning here that for the month of April also Ogra had increased the price of RLNG for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company consumers. However, for the month of March, the price of RLNG was slightly reduced by up to $0.0425 per million British Thermal Unit (MMBTU) for the consumers of Sui Southern Gas Company and Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited. The price of RLNG for the consumers on SSGC network was decreased by $0.0425 per MMBTU and was fixed at $9.3145 per MMBTU. While for the consumers on SNGPL network it was decreased by $ 0.0286 per MMBTU and was fixed at $9.5905 per MMBTU. The calculation for the month of May is based on total of 12 LNG cargoes imported by Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL).
