KARACHI – The Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) has re-established the Pediatric Nursery at its Gynecology Department to cater to the premature babies’ healthcare matters.
Executive Director, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), Dr Seemin Jamali, while talking to media, said JPMC management had procured four new incubators to re-launch the Pediatric Nursery at Gynecology Department. She informed that staff had been deputed in the nursery to cater to look after premature babies.
She further informed that JPMC administration had also sought NICH help to run the nursery on rotation basis.
Earlier, the nursery of Gynecology Department was badly damaged in a fire that broke out at JPMC in 2020 due to the short circuit. The fire damaged the incuba-tors and premature babies were being shifted to National Institute of Child Health (NICH).
