ISLAMABAD-Police detained a man briefly who attempted to commit suicide by climbing on a tree at D-Chowk apparently after he was allegedly pushed out from PM House where he was trying to meet the top office holder for a job, informed sources on Friday. 

The detained man was identified as Muhammad Khan, resident of Babuzai, Swat, they said. However, the police set him free after initial investigation, sources said. 

According to details, a man a namely Muhammad Khan was spotted by the law enforcement agencies while climbing a tree at D-Chowk who was attempting to commit suicide. 

They said the personnel of LEAs and police rushed to the site where the man was shouting that he would commit suicide as he was kicked out from PM House where he went for a job. The police brought him down and shifted to police station for further action.

SP City Zone Umer Khan, when contacted, said the man was released by police after thorough investigation. He said the man was mentally unfit.  

Meanwhile, Kohsar police took into custody a man and his mother after he hoisted Indian flag in the capital. The accused has been identified as Ali Abbas son of Hassan Syed. According to police, the detained man recorded his statement that his house was occupied by two men namely Raja Amjad Iqbal Abbasi and Abdul Rauf who impersonated themselves as personnel of sensitive department. He said he gone to every forum to get his house evacuated but in vain.
