Rally held to raise COVID-19 awareness in Kandhkot

KANDHKOT – An awaraness rally was held in connection to take precautionary measures against spread of COVID-19 here on Thrusday.

The rally was taken out from Ghantaghar roundabout to Press Club Kandhkot under the auspices of Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) and association with Al Khidmat foundation Kashmore led by Dr Waqar ul Islam Khawaja, Dr Amanullah Baloch, Dr Khalid Illahi Bhutto, Ghulam Mustafa Mirani and others. However it was participated by dozens of students from various shcools and colleges, civil society, social activists, local people and others by maintaining social distancing. 

The rally was passing through different routes and finally reached at press club. The students were carrying banners and play cards with slogans related precautionary measures against spread of COVID-19. During rally renowned doctors from various parts of district educated citizens on the precautions to be taken to control the spread of coronavirus since the third wave was also dangerous like first and second waves. They urged to people on staying away from huge gatherings, crowds and both outdoor and indoor activities. 

 

They also stressed about the importance of maintaining social distancing, hand washing and sanitizing and wearing of face masks and gloves. They also requested to public to follow all SOPs issued by government in order to keep disease away. Finally they distributed face masks and sanitizers among the masses.
