Wah Saddar police arrest 2 suspects, seize explosives

Rawalpindi   –  Wah Saddar police on Thursday arrested two men and recovered explosives, detonators and safety fuse wires from their possession, according to a police spokesman.

Rehman Wali and Ashraf Khan were transporting 50 kg explosive, 25 roles of safety fuse wire (5000 meters) and 2500 detonators when a team of police, headed by SHO PS Saddar Wah, held the accused. A case has been registered against the duo while investigation was on, he said.

SP Potohar Division appreciated the efforts of SHO and his team.

Meanwhile, Rawalpindi police, following the directions of City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Ahsan Younas, launched a massive crackdown across the district and held four proclaimed offenders and a bike-lifter. 

The proclaimed offenders arrested by PS Naseerabad officials have been identified as Muhammad Farooq, Usman Farooq, Allah Ditta and Qasim Ghafoor, wanted by police in terrorism, murder and attempted murder cases, said the police spokesman.

He said Ganjmandi police have also nabbed a most wanted motorcycle lifter namely Zahid Iqbal and seized two stolen motorcycles from his possession.
